Darrell J. Rohl is the Director of Excavations for the Umm el-Jimal Project and Professor of Archaeology, History, and Digital Humanities at Calvin University in Grand Rapids, MI. His research interests focus on life and interaction at the edges of the Roman Empire (including the later Eastern/Byzantine Roman Empire) and he has active research and fieldwork projects in both Britain and Jordan.
